I LOVE SELF TANNER. I am so pale, and I work all the time it feels like so I don’t have much time to lay out and get that ~natural glow~. Self tanner keeps me looking like a bronzed goddess, & doesn’t slowly kill me like a tanning bed would. I’ve linked a few of my favorites (both high end & drugstore) below!
I am VERY fair skinned.
P.S. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for all that’s good, do not lay in a tanning bed. I will drive to your house and apply any of these self tanners for you if you need some color.
Sun Laboratories | Self Tanning Mitt Applicator
FIRST THINGS FIRST: You WILL need a mitt of some sort to apply the tanning mousse’s linked below. You do not want to apply those with your hands. I’ve been using this one I got from Amazon, and it does a great job.
St. Tropez | Classic Bronzing Mousse
St. Tropez is definitely a splurge. But, it’s one of the best self tanners on the market. This one is good for when you need a good glow, but don’t need to be super dark.
St. Tropez | Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse
This is a great option if you need a good glow FAST. Apply it, chill with it on (in loose clothing) for about 2-3 hours, rinse off, and girl work that tan!
St. Tropez | Dark Bronzing Mousse
I use this when I have something like a wedding, beach trip, etc. and I want a little more than a natural looking glow. I am fair skinned, and this stuff makes me look like I just got back from a week long trip in the Bahamas.
St. Tropez | Luxe Facial Oil
I love this stuff. I always apply the St. Tropez mousse’s directly to my face, but I’ll always use 3-4 drops of this the day after I originally apply to keep the color on my face since I wash it twice a day. I’ll also use this when using my drug store self tanners since I’m not as comfortable applying those directly to the money maker as I would the St. Tropez options.
Jergens | Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer
I’ll be honest, I’ll skip the fair to medium and go straight to using the medium to tan. That’s how you get the good color. It’s super cheap, feel’s like you’ve applied regular lotion after pat drying off with your towel, and leaves NO residue. I’ll use this on the reg, and save my St. Tropez for special trips/occasions since the price tag is a lot higher. (I might or night not have 4-5 bottles of this stashed in my bathroom)
What self tanners do you use? Anything not on this list that is a holy grail for you?
