Sleep is the most important person in my life. Sadly, I’m not one of those people who can just conk out anywhere. I have to be in a bed, or on my own couch. I’m pretty sure some of the best sleeps of my life have been in luxurious hotel beds (I’m talking expensive hotels, not “hotels” like The Best Western) Something about how crisp and light everything is, how comfortable the beds always are, and the overly fluffy bedding. I love hotels and their fabulous bedding so much that my ultimate life goal is to pull an Elouise and live in the Plaza at some point. Until then, all I’m able to do is bring those luxe, expensive, hotel vibes to my bedroom. The best way to do that, crisp, fluffy, white bedding.
The best way to achieve ultimate, maximum, fluffy bedding goals is to use a duvet cover. Until recently (like literally yesterday), I’ve been sleeping with the same duvet that I had since college. That baby was FLAT. Like it did the job bedding is supposed to do, but that luxurious fluff that I LOVE about hotel bedding was just gone. Enter Pottery Barn.

With my new 2019 ~energy~, I was in need of some new luxe bedding that had all the fluff, & the universe was on my side. My mom came to town after the holiday, and we went to Pottery Barn to look ONLY at a coffee table tray she’d been wanting. I had literally ZERO intention of getting new bedding that day, but when we were walking out of the store, my eyes fell upon this duvet, and next thing I know after emerging from my retail induced blackout, this fluffy beauty was on my bed and I was getting all the hotel vibes from my lil apartment.
The insert is so soft, and I feel like I’m engulfed in a cloud when I sleep on it. The duvet cover is so smooth, and gives me all the hotel vibes However, the comfort doesn’t stop there. Between the duvet and the sheet, I added a cotton, waffle weave blanket for additional warmth, weight, and ~style~.

I have seven pillows on my bed. Yes, seven. Two are for actually sleeping on like God intended, two (the shams), are for decoration/kinda sleeping on, two (the euro-shams), are for adding height to the bed, and one (the lumbar pillow), is for the lewk. Even though only half are being used for their intended purpose, I like the lewk and I’ll probably add more to my collection in my lifetime.

All my bedding and accessories I talked about in this post are linked below. FYI, my nightstand is one of my grandmothers pieces she gave to me so that can’t be shopped, but the slippers you can shop and you can get them here.
