Winter. Ew. I’m all here for the excitement of the holidays, and I can “appreciate” snow, but I’m just not built for it. I get so cold so easily, and there’s no worse of a feeling in my opinion than walking out of a warm house, or getting out of a warm car, and having the cold air just slap you square in the face. It doesn’t get as cold in North Carolina as it does in other parts of the country, but when you’re a delicate flower like myself, it’s just as bad.
Investing in a good winter jacket is crucial to surviving winter. As much as I wish I could just lock myself in my apartment with the heat cranked up to 78 until the first sign of spring, I just can’t (i have to work and stuff, ew). While a huge parka isn’t going to solve all my issues and hatred of the freezing temps, it’s enough to get me through, and make it a little more tolerable to make it into work and do social things that involve me leaving my apartment. The one I have picture below is one I purchased last year (it’s so warm and for that I thank Jesus), and it’s no longer available. However, I did hunt down some similar ones in all different price ranges. So do yourself a favor and listen to your mother. Wear a jacket. It’s cold.
XOXO,
Rachael
